What's the Story?

In FALLING LIKE SNOW, the Bramble Falls autumn festival was so successful that the mayor decides to throw a winter festival, and volunteers her daughter Sloane to help plan. Gathering her crew of friends, including her cousin Ellis and her best friend Asher, Sloane throws herself into event planning. But then she literally runs into the hot hockey player Micah and that catches his eye. Sloane finds herself torn between dating Micah and the sudden influx of tingly feelings she's having towards Asher. Will Sloane be able to figure out the difference between just friends and something more, or will this be the last winter she and Asher spend side by side?

Sweet and full of holiday spirit, this cute book is best read while curled up by the fire on a cold winter day. While Falling Like Snow is fairly predictable, the characters are likable, and the romance plot is enhanced by a bit of family drama. People who like clean romance with a charming small-town setting will enjoy the Bramble Falls series. The author has set up a cast of side characters that will likely feature in their own stories in the future.

  • What do you think about the grand gestures in this book? Does the way people act in romance novels set up unrealistic expectations for real-life relationships?

  • How did the scene between Micah and Sloane at the dance make you feel? Did it surprise you? Do you think Micah was right to demand an apology from Sloane?
