Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Farming Strong, All Year Long is another delightful picture book in the Construction Site picture book series by Sherri Duskey Rinker and illustrated by AG Ford. It's friendly fun for young readers who love big machines. The machines work on the farm through every season: preparing land, planting and harvesting, sheltering livestock, and getting ready for winter. The playful rhyming is fun for adults reading aloud, and lessons in teamwork are great for discussions about responsibility and effort.
Is It Any Good?
The teamwork, cooperation, and shared sense of responsibility are great lessons for young readers, and the rhyming is a delight for those reading aloud and those listening. Big machines bring big fun in Farming Strong, All Year Long, with lots of challenging vocabulary and easier sight words, and the cheerful faces on the machines are a wonderful match for the bright colors on every page.
