Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that I Am Amazing! is a bright picture book for young readers by sisters Alissa Holder and Zulekha Holder-Young (I Am Smart, I Am Blessed, I Can Do Anything!). The book's main character is Holder's son, Ayaan, whose video went viral in 2019 when he recited positive affirmations on his way to school. This book is a follow up to the first story and centers around the idea of everyday superheroes. Messages focus on compassion, courage, self-image, and positivity.
Is It Any Good?
This story is a beautiful read for both young children and their parents. I Am Amazing! is a wonderful continuation of the I Am Smart, I Am Blessed, I Can Do Anything! story, and it reminds readers that there really are superheroes among us. Artist Nnneka Myers portrays the characters' emotions with beautiful illustrations. And the story explores how positive thoughts, a loving support system, and appreciation for others can help make everything better.
