What's the Story?
In I'LL LOVE YOU TILL THE COWS COME HOME, lots of different animals provide examples of how much someone (the reader?) is loved. And they aren't afraid of going to extremes. For example, "I will love you till the sheep set sail/ on a cruise bound for the Isle of Kale,/ past manatees/ and a humpback whale." And so on, until day is done and the sleepy animals lie down for the night -- like, presumably, the reader.
Is It Any Good?
The lyrical book celebrates boundless love with humor, a whimsical cast of characters, and creative wordplay. I'll Love You Till the Cows Come Home drives home its point without ever being sappy. And there's plenty of zany action to follow, with verses such as "I will love you till the frogs ride past/ on big-wheeled bikes going superfast .../ in a circus for se horses,/shrimp,/ and bass./ I will love you till he frogs ride past." Not only love but imagination knows no bounds.
