What's the Story?
Author Hilary Duff's look at childhood in MY LITTLE SWEET BOY explores the different emotions kids feel as they grow up, and reminds young boys that they can be both gentle and strong, brave and soft, loud and quiet. The illustrations of kids in lots of different, common scenes -- in the trees, at the beach, on the front steps, in their room -- show ways to react to lots of feelings and situations, with kindness and compassion.
Is It Any Good?
This wonderful look at the good, challenging, exhilarating, and confusing days of childhood is a great read-aloud for parents and kids learning to understand the world and how we act in our daily lives. My Little Sweet Boy is a springboard for conversations and quiet thinking, reminding young readers to be thoughtful of themselves and others, and to honor their big feelings and who they are.
