What's the Story?

Author Hilary Duff's look at childhood in MY LITTLE SWEET BOY explores the different emotions kids feel as they grow up, and reminds young boys that they can be both gentle and strong, brave and soft, loud and quiet. The illustrations of kids in lots of different, common scenes -- in the trees, at the beach, on the front steps, in their room -- show ways to react to lots of feelings and situations, with kindness and compassion.

  • Does your body feel different when you're happy than when you're sad? What is that like?

  • Who can you talk to about the adventures in your life? Why is it important to communicate about what's going on in our lives?
