What's the Story?

In NOODLE AND THE NO BONES DAY, Noodle and his loyal human Jonathan like to embark on a daily routine of walking or sitting outside, and always eating snacks. Noodle barks, Jonathan waves, they both run around, and they always have a great time. One day, Noodle doesn't want to do any of the things he loves. Worried Jonathan determines that Noodle is having a "no bones day," where nothing can persuade him to get out of bed. Can silly, stubborn, and sweet Noodle have a good day with Jonathan if all he does is stay inside?

This picture book is bright, silly, and fun. Noodle and the No Bones Day leaves readers with heartfelt messages: You can always make the best of any situation, and as loved ones get older, they need more patience and care. Also, self-care and communication are very important. These messages were Jonathan's intention when he started making Noodle's TikTok videos in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The story's relatable characters and sweet illustrations are likely to bring joy to every reader. The idea of caring for an older loved one -- whether a pet or a human -- is a relatable topic. And Noodle is sure to earn new fans and followers with this adorable book.
