This sequel is smart to focus on a new hero, moving on from Terry, the Hog Rider in the first book. In The Books of Clash Volume 2: Legendary Legends of Legendarious Achievery, Jane the archer gets to take center stage, and she is a confident and courageous lead who sticks to her beliefs and follows through. Even when her friends doubt her, the rest of the archers laugh at her, and when the whole world, it seems, thinks she's wrong, Jane remains true to herself and comes out the better. While there are no surprises here, some okay action, and only a brief bit of mystery, the ramp up to the ending is relatively entertaining and satisfying, as Jane finally gets to put to use her hard earned work. Also, the positive messages and the go-get-'em attitude of Jane shines through. Primarily for young fans of the mobile game/app, this breezy adventure will work as a cozy companion story to the game, but for readers not familiar with the reference material, the story might read more averagely.
