What's the Story?

¡VAMOS! LET'S CELEBRATE HALLOWEEN AND DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS is a festive story that captures the essence of both celebrations and is filled with humor, friendship, and cultural richness. On Halloween, Little Lobo and his friends dress up in costumes, trick-or-treat for candy, and share spooky stories. Then everyone in the town prepares food, drinks, and other gifts and decorates the cemetery with ofrendas so they can enjoy Día de Muertos with the spirits of the people they love.

From trick-or-treating and spooky stories on Halloween to creating ofrendas and honoring loved ones on Día de Muertos, ¡Vamos! Let's Celebrate Halloween and Día de los Muertos offers a colorful, multicultural look at these two fall holidays. Little Lobo's adventures are full of Raúl the Third's signature humor (be sure to spend time reading tombstones and signs for added giggles!) and cultural richness, while the dual-language format introduces children to Spanish in an engaging way. Filled with easy-to-remember vocabulary and Elaine Bay's vibrant illustrations, this book is a delightful celebration for all ages, sparking conversations about Latino culture and traditions.
