The game is great, but it's a bit slow and hard to get into, most of the players you'll encounter will be a very high level. The game isn't really that violent and language is pretty mild, less than what a kid would hear at school. You may find that the world can feel a bit lonely compared to the other fallouts due to the low number of npcs across the world.

Almost heaven, West Virginia

Fallout 76 takes place in Appalachia, West Virginia 25 years after the Chinese dropped bombs on America on October 23, 2077. The game has drugs and alcohol you can use to buff stats. It is the 3rd Fallout game i have played, and i can tell you first-hand, it is a buggy mess. you can also shoot off enemies head and limbs.

Good game, bad fallout

Hello there, I would consider myself pretty mature for a fourteen year old, so take that as a warning. I started playing games young so I came into this one with expectations. I have played every fallout game after the originals, and 76 sure is different. In a good way. It is its own game. I would consider it more of a PG happy-go-lucky version of fallout, but it does have its benefits. Obviously it is multiplayer, which with its small fan base means most players don’t use voice chat and are friendly to new players. It’s easier to control for newer gamers and younger people, and the game looks and plays better than the previous games. It definitely has less gore, sexual material, and heavy topics. With sexual material being brought up no time in my gameplay. The occasional cursing is heated but it is usually shit, damn, or hell. It’s never any hard f’s, or of the like. I would say this game is a definite play for any gamers above the age of 13, as it can be scary for younger children. Although the game is easy to control and pretty, it does sacrifice what made the fallout games, well, fallout games. A lot of the original aspects and storytelling are gone and replaced by lazy rewrites which hazily fit into lore. It can get boring, and seem like and endless event grind. Also of course players use CHEMS, which are a reference to real-life drugs, however it is easy to not notice this with no knowledge on the fallout franchise. In this entry they simply give you perks, and become more like power-ups. Also an edit, I realized all of the info provided by common sense about the game was very outdated. Npcs were added updates ago, and it’s fairly less buggy. It was very unenjoyable at start but I still find my self playing it to this day. It’s come a long way.

Great game overall, also great fun playing with friend

From the experience that I've got from having played this game for a while now, I can tell everyone that this game is not all that buggy anymore. After a terrible launch which ended up in a buggy mess, it now, after 2 years, has come to the point where it us fully playable and enjoyable. It of course is about what preference your child has towards games, but I have had a great time andmade a ton of new friends. Features: first of all, I want to begin with the perk system, you can with every level that you gain pick a perk which can boost certain abilities. Gunplay: gunplay is great in this game, it is far superior over any other fallout so have fun shooting your enemies. Dismemberment: this game has a perk that allows for dismemberment; bloody mess. If your child is sensitive to gore, don't let them pick this perk. Choices: you have all types of choices in this game that you have to make, they have real impact to the world around you (kinda at least). Photomode: this personally is my favorite ne function as I love to photograph the beautiful landscape with the awesome looking new lightrays. Character customisation: yes, you can make your own character, you can make it look as wacky an wonky or as realistic as you would want to. Drugs/alcohol: unfortunately there is a bit of alcohol and drug-use in this game but it is entirely avoidable, also drugs are called chems in this game and addiction to both chems and alcohol have negative side-effects so maybe a teachable moment to your kid if they do still decide to use them. As a last note I want to add that this game has an amazing community with all kinds of good people. I overall really recommend this game. If you as a parent still want to think about it You should watch a few videos on it with your child.

Amazing game, more focused about the story/lore than fighting.

10/10 game. Almost no words can describe how awesome the fallout series is compared to others. Unlike other games in the series however, fallout 76 is an online game which means that parents should probably monitor their kids if needed.

It's good, but

It's a good game, as long as you make sure that voice chat is off, I'd say it's good for mature 13 year olds

Not as bad as fallout 4

This game is bloody but the shooting is monsters mostly in my time playing I came across one raider and that was it, fallout 4 is bloody, and extremely violent, and you have to fight about 2,000 raiders in fo4
