A Lot or a Little?
The parents' guide to what's in this movie.
What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Accident Man: Hitman's Holiday is an action comedy sequel (based on a British comic strip) with violence galore, strong language, drugs, and sexual references. It follows wise-cracking British assassin Mike Fallon (Scott Adkins) -- who has relocated to Malta -- and revolves around the rescue of a powerful female gangster's son. There are little to no positive messages, and nearly all of the characters kill for money and want to fund lavish lifestyles. The main cast and crew are all White, male and British, but there is racial diversity among the supporting cast. Violence is constant and cartoonish, but also gory in places. Throats are slit, with a lot of blood spray, and in one scene, someone is stabbed through the head and their eyeball, causing it to be poked out their head. There is also a decapitation and other fatal head injuries. Sex is referenced not shown, but includes mentions of oral sex, masturbation, and sex work. There is also constant strong language including "f--k," "s--t," and "c--t." Drink and drugs also feature. In one scene in a nightclub, a DJ snorts a line of what is presumably cocaine.

In ACCIDENT MAN: HITMAN'S HOLIDAY, British assassin Mike Fallon (Scott Adkins) relocates to Malta, but is drawn back into working for gangsters.
Is It Any Good?
Not so much a movie as a procession of gonzo martial-arts action sequences, this sequel is only interested in telling a story that gets star and co-writer Adkins from one stylized scrap to the next. Accident Man: Hitman's Holiday gives Adkins ample opportunity to utilize the stunt man skills that have made him a cult favorite. But his character -- grouchy killer-for-hire Mike Fallon -- doesn't have any one-liners or motivation as strong as his punches and kicks.
A tangle of plot lines involve kidnapping, a missing love interest, blackmail, and a bolted-on callback to Fallon's former business associates that lead to a couple of big speeches that make Guy Ritchie's dialogue sound like Quentin Tarantino's. The filmmakers would've been better off concentrating on one of these stories and building it out, but Adkins clearly knows his audience and goes big on the crowd-pleasing altercations with an increasingly extravagant cast of assailants. Fans of cheerily violent B-movies will might find something to enjoy from the low-budget but carefully crafted set pieces. But beyond that, it will struggle to find its audience.
