What's the Story?

Years after ending a hundred-year war between nations and building Republic City, where everyone lives together in peace, AVATAR AANG: THE LAST AIRBENDER longs for a way to bring back his people and his culture. While searching for old artifacts, he finds directions to a powerful ancient staff that can grant bending abilities and more. With the help of new and old friends, Aang sets off on a mission to retrieve the relic before it falls into the wrong hands and endangers everything they've built so far.

The movie is a faithful continuation of the animated series, finding the same characters, years after the events that concluded the original story. Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender provides a bridge for new and old fans to cross: whether this is the starting point or a way to look back. While some parts of the story might feel a tad predictable, the strong bond between the characters and the rich details of the world keep viewers engaged, no matter their age.
