What's the Story?

In CAT & DOG, a pampered cat named Diva (voiced by Inès Reg) and a homeless dog named Poo Poo (voiced by Artus) find themselves separated from their owners at an airport after the dog accidentally swallows a valuable ruby sought after by thieves. As the two animals embark on a dangerous journey to find their way back to their owners, they must also avoid the ruthless pursuit of thieves after the ruby while navigating through a world of natural predators. Along the way, the cat and dog form an unlikely bond and discover the true value of friendship, all while their owners Monica (Reem Kherici) and Jack (Franck Dubosc) search desperately for their precious pets.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:
Parents say ( 2 ):
Kids say ( 2 ):

This animal tale tries to appeal to audiences with its talking animal characters and adventurous storyline, but falls short in execution. The CGI animation is over the top, bordering on distracting, and the overall visual quality detracts from the viewing experience. While the film may seem geared toward kids, the content is surprisingly violent and contains many questionable moments. From slapstick violence to partial nudity, the movie veers into territory that may not sit well with parents seeking wholesome entertainment for their children. On top of that, the film's cheesy dialogue and exaggerated plot might not entertain adult viewers. Ultimately, Cat & Dog is chaotic and struggles to find its footing.
