What's the Story?

In DALIA AND THE RED BOOK, a curious young girl named Dalia (voiced by Agustina Cirulnik) discovers her late father's unfinished manuscript hidden in his study. When she opens it, she's transported into the magical world of the book, where fictional characters are desperate to escape—and some will do anything to control how the story ends. Dalia is rescued by Goat (voiced by Gustavo Barrientos), a brave warrior she created as a child, who helps guide her through the fantastical realm. As Dalia faces dangers and uncovers secrets about her father, she must learn to write her own ending and find her voice as a storyteller.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:

Kids say : Not yet rated

Dalia and the Red Book is a creative animated fantasy with emotional themes and a unique visual style. While the story has some fun and meaningful moments, it doesn't always keep a strong pace. A few scenes feel rushed or confusing, and the blend of spooky action and deep messages might not connect with every viewer.

The most engaging part of the film is Dalia's connection with Goat, the serious but loyal character she once imagined. Their journey together brings out some heartfelt moments, especially as Dalia starts to find her voice as a writer. Fans of magical stories like The NeverEnding Story may enjoy the film's mix of imagination, grief, and creativity—but it may not leave a lasting impression for everyone.
