Thought Provoking and Complex!

This is movie is a complex one, that needs a lot of thought and understanding of the East Asian culture to truly understand, but it’s definitely worth it! It deals with difficult, heartbreaking and dark concepts in a beautifully detailed way. The cinematography is gorgeous, with the film having a show stopping use of colour and a lovely soundtrack. The indie like film is definitely not for the lighthearted, but if you’re one for tackling difficult to think about and truly complex topics, then this is a film I highly recommend!

Dear Ex (a journey into a family's grievances)

The movie does a great job of approaching the topic of grief in the most "human" way. It follows the son, his mother and his father's male lover as they try to live after he died.

It is truly a moving piece that helps you enter a headspace of reflection, where thoughts about morality and legacy can be explored in the safe atmosphere of love and vulnerability the movie creates.

Watch this movie with an open and honest heart and what you'll gain from it will be exponential.
