This suspenseful Bollywood crime thriller directed by Abhishek Pathak is a gripping and intense sequel to the 2015 hit, Drishyam. Drishyam 2 adds Khanna to its already renowned cast, changing dynamics from the previous parental feud to competing masculinities in this film, leaving Tabu's character on the sidelines. However, in comparison to other recent action and crime thrillers in Bollywood, the film definitely deserves appreciation for its ability to keep the spectator on the edge of their seat. Slowly building up to a complex climactic twist, the film introduces new strands to the previous tale through an intricate blend of shocks, surprises, and betrayals. Evoking the subtle yet significant power of perspective and how its alteration challenges the very nature of truth, the film neatly binds various layers of storytelling within it.
