Parents need to know that this film opens with a character's death in a horse-and-carriage wreck, though it's not graphic. From there, it features the run-of-the-mill frights of Halloween: ghosts, scary sounds, surprises, and general creepiness.

What's the Story?
It's Halloween, and the just as The Plaza entertains potential new buyers, the legendary Diamond Jim Johnson (voiced by Brad Garrett) returns for his annual hotel haunt. Eloise is on the case, but will anyone believe her? And more importantly, will Diamond Jim Johnson ruin the deal for the new owners?
Is It Any Good?
Kids who like Halloween will love this ghost story, and parents can feel good about Eloise putting her headstrong attitude to good use. Eloise's bratty nature and mischief usually get her into trouble, but in ELOISE'S RAWTHER UNUSUAL HALLOWEEN, her pluck and determination come in handy when applied to a cause, in this case, solving the mystery of the hotel haunting.
