What's the Story?
In FULL CIRCLE, Trevor Kennison, a professional sit skier, and Barry Corbet, also an adaptive athlete, mountaineer, filmmaker, and author, discuss their lives, which includes the journey to reinvent themselves after spinal cord injuries. The documentary explores their post-traumatic personal and professional path through firsthand interviews with family, friends, colleagues, and experts, as well as archival footage and photos.
Is It Any Good?
This is inspiring and incredible storytelling at its best, especially Trevor Kennison's remarkable and very real narrative of determination that begins during the professional sit skier's childhood. "Trevor loved snowboarding," recalls his mom Olga in Full Circle. "You would see nothing but white teeth in the little goggles when he was a little kid. He wouldn't even go inside to get something to eat."
But following a snowboarding accident that left Kennison paralyzed from a spinal cord injury, he soon seeks a new way to continue with his lifelong passion for extreme sports. "Sit skiing gave me that freedom being out of my wheelchair," he says of the design made for use by adaptive athletes. "I could be just like anyone else. Having that freedom back, it gave me such a purpose to life."
