What's the Story?
GAME CHANGER follows the story of Ram Nandan (Ram Charan), an honest IAS officer determined to fight corruption at the political level.
Is It Any Good?
This blood-soaked political-action drama is filled to the brim with relentless violence. Game Changer's director, S. Shankar, seems to rely heavily on his lead actor's presence, doing little beyond relying on Charan's star power—in a dual role—to elevate the story. Yet even that proves insufficient, as the plot unfolds with frustrating predictability. With little new to show, the almost three-hour runtime feels painfully drawn-out. Even the gory action set-pieces grow repetitive, serving only to highlight the machismo of the film's aggressive male characters, while the few female roles are reduced to stereotypical damsels in distress, romantic interests, or self-sacrificing mothers.
