What's the Story?
When a wife and daughter get kidnapped by a drug gang in HUSBANDS IN ACTION, the ex-husband detective (Jin Seon-kyu) and new husband veterinarian (Gong Myung) must make an unlikely alliance and partner together to save them.
Is It Any Good?
Confident and bold, this film offers a fresh perspective on the unlikely duo concept. Never faltering on the over-the-top but subtle Korean comedic approach, this action-comedy provides strong entertainment from beginning to end. The unexpected story twists and turns work well with the unexpected husband pairing itself, and each main character adds something to ultimately save the day with humor, heart, friendship, and strong family-first messaging, despite the heavy-handed swearing.
