This Indian drama on marriage and divorce is slow and lacks genuine storytelling. Despite a celebrated cast, Jug Jugg Jeeyo is filled with misogynistic humor and unending melodrama. Characters remain stereotypical and their relationships fickle, spending large parts of the movie getting drunk and arguing. Female characters occasionally share honest emotions with one another and while the majority of the men are toxic throughout, they do admit their flaws and apologize in the end. Yet these messages of honesty, affection, and togetherness come too late to save the film as a whole.
