What's the Story?

In JUSTICE LEAGUE X RWBY; SUPER HEROES AND HUNTSMEN, PART TWO, the Justice League find themselves back on Earth as adults after being trapped on Revenant as teenagers. They are joined by the superheroes of Revenant led by Ruby Rose (Lindsay Jones), and together they soon discover a new threat. The Grimm, a group of monsters unleashed by archvillain Kilg%re, are wreaking havoc, and it's up to Superman (Travis Willingham), Wonder Woman (Laura Bailey), and the rest of the Justice League to stop them, with the help of some unlikely allies in the fight.

This is an overly complicated sequel that's best enjoyed by the fans of multiverses. The title itself, Justice League x Rwby: Super Heroes and Huntsmen, Part Two, is a mouthful, and the excessive wordiness speaks to the usual fatal flaw of movies like these: Trying to do too much.

In the first movie, the Justice League ended up on Revenant as teenagers, and in this one, they have returned to Earth and back to adulthood. Essentially, they must now find a way to stop a bunch of monstrous dragons and jellyfish-like apparitions known as "The Grimm" from destroying Earth. Fighting ensues, but, of course, it can't be that simple. There's the main bad guy, Kil%ore, and a crazy professor bad guy, and some of the bad guys are good guys in this one, and there are relationships and feelings and bad guys taking over the bodies of the good guys amid all the dragon decapitations and body-slammed superheroes thrown into skyscrapers. If you're a fan, you're likely to enjoy this, but if you're only a casual fan at best, the complications of the head-scratching story get to be too much.
