Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan
Parent and Kid Reviews
What's the Story?
In KISI KA BHAI KISI KI JAAN, Bhaijaan (Salman Khan) stays unmarried to selflessly care for his three younger brothers. When he does fall for Bhagya (Pooja Hegde) though, will he be able to overcome the challenges that await him and his family?
Is It Any Good?
This bland formulaic action-comedy, directed by Farhad Samji, has nothing new to showcase. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan tries to tell a story in between long and annoying action sequences and flimsy romantic numbers but fails miserably. Hegde's character, Bhagya, is reduced to nothing more than a pretty face. In addition, the film's comedy is just silly rather than funny, while its emotional scenes are a too melodramatic to be taken serious. Within the first five minutes, it's all too easy to predict the entire trajectory of the movie, making it a real task to maintain any interest. Lastly, the unending glorification of Khan's male lead that is accompanied by an unnecessary amount of gore and violence makes this one Bollywood film to forget.
