What's the Story?
Kittens love playing and running and climbing and batting at things. In KITTEN PARTY, dozens of breeds get the chance to do just that in a nonstop play-fest featuring music, voice-over narration, some fun facts about cats, and some sing-alongs.
Is It Any Good?
This may be the plot equivalent of background music, but that's hardly a criticism; it's fun and silly and playful for playfulness' sake. The fact that Kitten Party is shot decently, features some music, and has some voice-over is just icing on this kitten cake. There is no real story line, only segments of endless footage of adorable kittens broken up with themes such as "Hide and Seek" or "Opposite Song" (about differences among animals) and a segment exploring the history of cats. Parents have nothing to sweat here aside from maybe fielding requests to acquire kittens of your very own, and though it may not completely engage viewers, it could work well alongside other indoor activities on a rainy day.
