Excellent brilliant

Some unappropriate parts where mandela has an affair. But very good movie. Not for under 9 at the least. Some uses of Caffer

Perfectly Depicted

Nelson Mandela is up there with Martin Luther King Jr and Gandhi in terms of civil rights. In the movie, they show his perseverance and his grit. The story is accurate and having family from South Africa that moved because of the Apartheid, this movie hits me emotionally. If it wasn't good, i would say because its about a topic close to my parents. It was a little graphic, like when the police shot at protesters, but it doesn't sugar coat anything. It has a great message, that if you try you can succeed. There is a little kissing but it is harmless. Fantastic movie, recomend it for someone who wants to learn about Mandela(: Rest In Peace, Madiba, we love you(:

Great film

Once again, common sense media have screwed up. Not only have they rated it a 15 (!!!!!!) but they also say that it is a bad movie. They are wrong on both accounts. Mandela: a long walk to freedom is a great movie and even though it is violent in some parts, it is really inspiring and teaches you loads about what it was like for black people back in those times. You really should see it. SO WATCH IT AND REMEMBER KIDS, COMMON SENSE MEDIA REVIEWS ARE WRITTEN BY A BUNCH OF OVER PROTECTIVE PARENTS!!! Oh, and of course , R.I.P Nelson Mandela. You were great.
