What's the Story?

PREDATOR: KILLER OF KILLERS tells overlapping vignettes of warriors getting vengeance for their own personal matters and also killing alien predators. In the first tale, called The Shield, a female Viking (Lindsay LaVanchy) in 841 A.D. takes vengeance for her father's death and brings her young son along. In the second story, titled The Sword, a samurai (Louis Ozawa) in feudal 17th century Japan takes out his childhood loss on his competitor-brother. And in the third vignette, called The Bullet, a Mexican American World Word II pilot (Rick Gonzalez) helps bring down an alien threat to the Allied cause. The three warriors are brought together at the end in a fight-to-death battle at the hand of the alien predators.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:
Parents say ( 5 ):
Kids say ( 4 ):

This film builds in interest between its vignettes, culminating in a Colosseum-style battle among the various stories' characters and a surprisingly peaceful final message from one of its warriors. Life is indeed nasty, brutish, and short for the inhabitants of the Predator universe, including those of Predator: Killer of Killers. Be prepared for extreme violence here, mostly gratuitous. The predator alien gives no indication of motive beyond trophy hunting, while other characters hold onto ultimately unsatisfying but generation-lasting vengeances. Animation set to ominous tones adds to a feeling of unease, but you may just find yourself caring about some of these characters by the end.
