Sarkaru Vaari Paata
What's the Story?
In SARKARU VAARI PAATA, Mahesh (Mahesh Babu) is a successful money lender in the United States. But turmoil enters his life when he falls for Kalaavathi (Keerthy Suresh), a gambler, who cons him out of his money. Determined to recollect what is his from Kalaavathi's politician father, Rajendranath (Samuthirakani), Mahesh ventures all the way to Visakhapatnam in India. But while there, he uncovers a much bigger scandal.
Is It Any Good?
This drama filled with extreme action and directed by Parasuram is a stereotypical hero-centric tale that has nothing special about it. Sarkaru Vaari Paata criticizes bank frauds, but the illogical and impractical degree of repetitive violence means the film just ends up being annoying rather than presenting any interesting social commentary. Female characters need "moral lessons" and saving, all of which the male hero, Mahesh, must juggle around while fighting thousands of thugs and being indestructible. Misogyny is visible everywhere, including in the film's creepy romance where stalking and blackmailing are discounted or even celebrated. With its silly plot line and hollow characters, this unnecessary drama filled with gore is one to avoid.
