Satyaprem Ki Katha
Parent and Kid Reviews
What's the Story?
In SATYAPREM KI KATHA, head over heels in love with Katha (Kiara Advani), Sattu (Kartik Aaryan) is thrilled when their families arrange their marriage. But when Sattu learns more about Katha's past, will his feelings for her change?
Is It Any Good?
This Bollywood romantic drama, directed by Sameer Vidwans, deals with serious issues in an absolutely distasteful and disturbing manner. Satyaprem Ki Katha confuses creepy behavior with romance, and lead character Sattu remains idolized despite his own misogynistic attitude. Katha's trauma from sexual assault is nothing but an opportunity for Sattu to display his mettle. Katha is completely sidelined, with no sensitivity shown for what she has been through. With misplaced intentions, mediocre acting, and terrible writing, Satyaprem Ki Katha is a disappointing mess that is best to be avoided.
