What's the Story?

THE NIGHT MY DAD SAVED CHRISTMAS 2 picks up with Salva Molina (Ernesto Sevilla), a former criminal determined to live an honest life and be a better father to his son Lucas (Unax Hayden). As Christmas approaches, Lucas starts to pull away, distracted by friends and a new crush, just as a powerful toy company launches a plan to take control of the holiday. When villains kidnap Santa Claus (Santiago Segura) and replace him with an arrogant imposter, Salva and Lucas get pulled into a chaotic rescue mission. With help from elves, friends, and unexpected allies, the father and son race to stop a scheme that threatens to turn Christmas into a profit-driven business, and to reconnect before the holiday spirit disappears for good.

This sequel leans hard into loud, silly comedy, and whether that works depends on your tolerance for chaos. The Night My Dad Saved Christmas 2 delivers nonstop antics, exaggerated villains, and broad humor that will land best with viewers who enjoy physical comedy and over-the-top setups. The strongest part of the movie is the father–son relationship. Sevilla and Hayden share a warm dynamic, and the story's focus on rebuilding trust gives the movie emotional grounding. The villainous toy company adds a clear message about consumerism versus generosity, even if the lesson feels familiar.

That said, the humor is often juvenile. Families looking for a loud, silly holiday tale may enjoy it, but those hoping for a cozy or heartfelt holiday staple may want to keep browsing.
