UNTOLD: THE TESTIMONY OF VINCE YOUNG retells stories from the scandalous era of a college football quarterback prodigy's rise and fall from fame. Vince Young himself shares the ups and downs of his high-profile life and career (including his infamous conflict with head coach Jeff Fisher) in this raw but reflective account.
Is It Any Good?
The personal growth is palpable in this empathetic view of a player who was branded with a scandalous label during his career. This thoughtful documentary refuses to be another cautionary tale of an athlete who found fame too fast. Here, extraordinary football talent takes a back seat to a reflective and mature Vince Young, who accepts his mistakes, takes accountability for his actions, and learns how the power of forgiveness and redemption can reshape his legacy.
In a surprising retelling of his career, Vince Young actually embraces all of the good and bad influences in his life, choosing to reconcile with his past and move forward with confidence. Unfortunately for former Tennessee Titans coach Jeff Fisher, who drafted, coached, and clashed with Young, this film casts his perspective in a far less flattering light, especially when juxtaposed with the high road Vince Young chooses to take.
