What's the Story?
In WAR 2, Kabir (Hrithik Roshan) is on the trail of a shadowy cabal of powerful elites. On his journey, he comes across former friend Vikram (N.T. Rama Rao Jr.) and elite pilot Kavya (Kiara Advani), who is out for revenge for her father's death. But who can Kabir really trust?
Is It Any Good?
Roshan's smoldering action hero super agent Kabir was introduced in the 2019 thriller, War. His second outing is a high-octane spy romp with one mission: to entertain. The plot is far-fetched fun that drives the characters through the twists and turns of their murky allegiances. But that's all background to the spectacular action scenes and fights. The hyper-stylized fights and stunts are top tier crowd-pleasing choreography and an all-too-rare achievement—inventive use of CGI. Powered by imagination, the action scenes are delightfully unpredictable and over the top. Part of the fun is how the movie treats its action heroes like action figures—there's a childlike glee in seeing them get out of every scrape in wildly entertaining ways. The movie has a handful of songs that show off the cast's skills as all-round entertainers and the movie's three hours fly by.
