What's It About?
FLYEST FABLES is an immersive audio drama that features fictional stories with impactful life lessons. Creator Morgan Givens set out to develop the podcast because of his love for the fantasy genre growing up and the lack of characters he could relate to. Because of this, Flyest Fables centers around young Black main characters and their relatable life challenges, while focusing on courage and hope as an anchor and guiding light. Although each story of each episode is unique, there is usually a throughline that connects the stories together. All of the stories have elements of fantasy but include real-life lessons of strength, perseverance, and overcoming.
Is It Any Good?
Through exciting music, engaging character actors, and immersive sound effects, each episode pulls you into a fantasy world. Flyest Fables is a unique take on traditional fairy tales that authentically represents modern issues many children can identify with. Creator Morgan Givens set out on this audio journey to create an inclusive space in the genre of fantasy, and he exceeded expectations. This audio masterpiece allows kids of all races, ethnicities, and identities to see and hear themselves represented in fantasy media and sheds light on the world we live in. Not only are the stories highly entertaining, but the audio quality and moral lessons are icing on top of the cake.
