What's It About?

HANK THE COWDOG is movie-like audio adventure where the silly but loyal dog, Hank, has misadventures on his Texas ranch involving a silly sidekick, a rival cat, a sinister bobcat, a witchy owl, two hungry coyotes, and a nasty buzzard. Hank's little boy Alfred feels upset about his mom's affection for a new baby sister, causing him to act out and run away. Hank helps reunite Alfred with his family, getting into close calls and tricky situations along the way.

Plenty of Texas swagger from Matthew McConaughey, combined with immersive sound effects, cinematic music and fantastic voice acting, make this podcast undeniably entertaining. The Hank the Cowdog podcast experience is like watching an action-packed animated adventure movie.

Younger kids may have trouble following the fast-paced cowboy speak, and will need help getting any positive lessons out of the plot, especially since the goofy and sly characters are so fun, and little Alfred's actions like hitting Hank and running away aren't given much sincere attention. This podcast is a great form of simple entertainment and a nice alternative to a movie for a family who enjoys silly adventures, celebrity voices and a wacky western.
