What's It About?

LGBTQ+ STEM CAST brings in LGBTQ+ experts in STEM fields to discuss relevant and interesting topics. Experts discuss their experiences in the field, including their upbringing, educational journey, and work experience. Episodes then dive into specific aspects of that person's research or work, including climate policy, music in STEM, and new ocean creatures. Highlighting the intersections of STEM, social justice, and education, episodes encourage curiosity and learning. Some of the topics may be more complex and therefore better suited for tween and teen audiences. This is a great educational podcast for adults and kids to listen to together to spark important discussions.

Educating listeners on unique STEM topics while centering diverse voices makes this a great, wholesome listen for the entire family. LGBTQ+ Stem Cast does a great job appealing to tween and teen audiences in a way that makes them excited about learning and encourages curiosity, while also appealing to adults interested in STEM, culture, and the world at large. Although they're no longer posting episodes, there are plenty of episodes to keep listeners entertained for a while. Some episodes are filled with a bit of academic jargon, but overall, it's an easy listen for tweens, teens and adults.
