What's It About?

TARA TREMENDOUS features fictional teenage hero, Tara Callahan, who narrates her audio diaries about how she acquires all the superpowers, defeats evil, has epic adventures around the galaxy, and picks up friends along the way. The original music is high energy, and the audio production is rich and dense, making this feel like watching a suspenseful action-packed superhero movie in audio form. Tara, the hero, is aligned with good qualities like courage, integrity, inclusivity, and curiosity. Villains show glimpses of evil, prejudice, sexism, and greed. There are perilous situations made dramatic through sound effects, but no swearing or sexual behavior.

If your tween or teen is looking for a high-energy superhero series to capture their imagination, this podcast offers action-packed adventure with positive messages and role models. Tara Tremendous does a nice job showing good qualities like courage, integrity, inclusivity, and compassion, triumphing over bad ones like greed and prejudice. The fast plot, engaging sound effects, cinematic music, and excellent audio production make every episode entertaining.

While it's nice to see a strong woman superhero, the show shies away from empowering more diverse and inclusive main characters. Overall this is a fun and empowering podcast, with excellent audio quality.
