What's It About?

Each episode of THOMAS & FRIENDS STORYTIME begins by introducing the trains that star in the story, including what their numbers and colors are, and what their whistles sound like. Listeners are then told an action-packed story of the engines and their adventures that day. The trains always have fun, racing each other on the tracks and playing around, but they're also hardworking and do their best to impress Sir Topham Hatt, the director of the railway. Sometimes they may have to rescue a lost animal from Sodor Animal Park, while other times they carry passengers to the station. Whatever the story, there's usually a lesson that goes along with it, like learning to cooperate with others or understanding why we have to follow safety rules. The stories always have a resolution that will put young children at ease.

This podcast will delight young kids with its fun stories of adventure, hijinks, and cooperation. In the Thomas & Friends Storytime podcast listeners are transported to the magical island of Sodor, and will enjoy hearing all about the various trains and their unique personalities. The narrator, Mark Moraghan, is joined by voice actors from the recent Thomas TV shows and movies, so the delivery is spot on. It's a good choice for preschool age children or older who love trains. Parents will like the fact that the tales include positive lessons, and that the Thomas franchise has added more main characters who are female.
