A Fuzzytown Halloween
Parent and Kid Reviews
What's the Story?
In A FUZZYTOWN HALLOWEEN, Carl and his friends are ready to go trick or treating at night for the first time. Everyone's excited for their own reasons: the candy, the costumes, or that little chill of being scared. Some are just looking to complete their candy wrapper collection. No matter the reason, the kids are in it together! But when a rumor starts circulating about a neighbor who turns children into chicken noodle soup, their tolerance for spookiness is put to the test. Working together, they'll find ways to manage their emotions and discover the truth for themselves.
Is It Any Good?
This sweet special is a great watch for kids who are venturing outside for the first time. With messages that expand beyond just the Halloween season, it packs in mystery, adventure and sensibility with no tricks, all treats. A Fuzzytown Halloween is for young ones who will enjoy seeing their favorite characters dressed up in costumes and shudder at the very mild scares. But it's also for parents and older kids who will absorb the very important messages about spreading rumors without verifying sources, asking and accepting help, and accepting differences without judgment.
Talk to Your Kids About ...
Families can talk about how characters experience the spooky season in A Fuzzytown Halloween. Arugula wants to dress up; Sheldon wants to get candies; and Carl is more interested in collecting their wrappers. What's your favorite thing about Halloween?
Everyone thought Nico was scared of Halloween, but only Lotta asked her. Do you remember what she found out? What are things you can ask to discover what someone is feeling or need?
What are some of the tricks Lotta and Nico used to help them feel less overwhelmed?
