What's the Story?
Hosted by The Bachelor star Nick Viall and his much younger wife Natalie Joy, AGE OF ATTRACTION is an unscripted dating series that explores if age is really just a number when it comes to finding love. Forty single men and women between the ages of 22 and 60 come together at a woodland resort in Whistler, British Columbia to mingle, date, and find someone with whom they have chemistry. As they interact, they can talk about anything they want except their ages. Only once two people decide that they're a love match and exchange promise rings can they can reveal how old they are to each other. If they still want to stay together after the reveal, they leave their outdoorsy retreat and move into a shared apartment in Vancouver to test their relationship. They also get the chance to meet each other's friends and families and get their input. At the end of their trial cohabitation period, they must decide if they want to stay together or walk away.
Is It Any Good?
The Love Is Blind spin-off is a formulaic social experiment that examines the role age truly plays when looking for true love and long-term relationships. The participants, some of whom might seem familiar thanks to their appearances on various reality TV series, seem to take the process seriously, which gives the overall series mature vibe. It also moves a little slowly at times. Nonetheless, Age of Attraction still offers all the voyeuristic entertainment these types of TV shows are known for.
