What's the Story?
Alma's Nochebuena is a one-hour special of the preschool series Alma's Way. In part one, Alma eagerly prepares to celebrate Christmas traditions with her family, but things don't go as expected. She and her family find other ways to celebrate. In part two, Alma decides to make a new gift for her brother before the big Three Kings Day parade.
Is It Any Good?
The enthusiasm and music of Alma's Nochebuena will be entertaining for preschoolers. The program celebrates cultural differences and teaches how little things can make a child happy. The script conveys family values with characters who are happy to share together. Children will learn about how some Hispanic families celebrate Christmas traditions.
The show shows how Alma adapts to the unexpected. Despite not being able to celebrate Christmas Eve as usual, with aguinaldos and lights, Alma manages to enjoy the holiday.
