What's the Story?

ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A CELEBRITY?, a spin-off of the Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader franchise, features contestants and celebs answering grade school-level questions for a chance to win some money. Hosted by Travis Kelce, the game requires a player to answer ten questions on different subjects designed for kids in 1st through 5th grade. Every question answered correctly puts them higher on a money ladder that can earn them up to $50K. Meanwhile, each guest celebrity writes down her/his/their answers to the questions, and when chosen go up to help the contestant answer the question or "cheat" in a few ways. The contestant flunks out if they answer any question incorrectly. But if they make it to the top of the ladder, they get the chance to answer a 6th grade question for $100k.

This fun quiz show offers a combination of smarts and silliness as B-list guest celebrities answer questions to help contestants win as much money as possible. Celebs like YouTuber Lilly Singh, former football player-turned-sports commentator Chad Ochocinco, and reality show star Sophia Stallone crack wise as they answer questions to help contestants find out: Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? Players also share their personal stories, which on occasion can go on a little too long. Nonetheless, this relaxed game show is positive and lighthearted, despite the fact there's lots of money on the line.
