In ASIA, nature historian and biologist David Attenborough turns his thorough attentions to the largest continent on the planet. He starts with the seas and oceans surrounding Asia, following currents that course through mangroves and swirl between islands. He discusses seals who find safe harbor on distant Russian islands, and examines coral reefs teeming with life. Giant cats and elephants are observed poking around human habitats. How much can you learn from one documentary? This show dares you to keep track.

Rich with educational content, this series provides facts that families can enjoy sharing with one another. A treat to watch, and a delight to discuss, Asia is prime viewing for Attenborough fans.

Some perilous fight scenes might startle younger viewers, and the music can serve to uplift or create tension. But families can enjoy this series together, and it's also is a good pick for teachers of elementary-level geography and biology.
