What's the Story?

AVATAR: SEVEN HAVENS follows the story of orphan Pavi, who quietly lives in hiding (along with her trusty monkey-cat, Geet) in the walled desert city of Ellora, one of the Seven Havens. Pavi can bend air, water, earth, and wind, which theoretically makes her the next Avatar, but she doesn't want anyone to know it. Life changes big-time when she's discovered by Jae, a bender-in-training, and brought to Captain Karthik, who manages the city guard, and who also happens to be the caretaker to Pavi's twin sister, Nisha. Nisha also has the skills of an Avatar, and together, the sisters must learn to harness their powers against a mysterious, threatening entity.

This series breathes lots of new life into the Avatar franchise, giving viewers a new, beautifully built world in Ellora, and a great group of fresh characters to carry on the lore started in The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. Protagonist Pavi is a delight to get to know, and her growth as she becomes closer to accepting her role as Avatar makes for a compelling watch. There are tons of positive messages about strength, family, facing fears, and having a supportive community. This is another excellent whole-family watch for those with kids and tweens who love immersing themselves in fantasy worlds.
