What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Beebo Saves Christmas is a lively animated holiday special full of giggles for the whole family. Beebo and his furry friends travel to the North Pole to save Santa and bring the magic back to Christmas. They learn how to honor and respect the lived experiences of others. Fans of DC's Legends of Tomorrow will appreciate the subtle references in this spin-off, but you don't need to know that the CW Arrowverse is even a thing to still enjoy the show. Victor Garber (a former Legends star himself) narrates, with Yvette Nicole Brown as Turbo, Kimiko Glenn as Tweebo, and Chris Kattan as Sprinkles the elf. Santa (who is Black) is voiced by Ernie Hudson, The songs are catchy, the animation is clever, and the characters are cute and cuddly. A robot who may seem scary to little kids is worth mentioning. There is a short chasing scene, and an over-enthusiastic hug leads to some stuffed bears getting their heads squeezed off.

What's the Story?
When Beebo and his friends receive form letters back from the North Pole, they think something bad must have happened to Santa, and take a trip to save him. They learn Santa has been kicked out of his own workshop by an elf determined to bring more efficiency to toy distribution. The friends find Santa has now taken a barista job at the local "Snowbucks," and enlist his help restoring the magical touch to what has now become a sterile toy factory. Each character has different ideas about what the Christmas season is about, and their adventure helps them learn there is no one right way to experience the holiday. They all come to understand everyone's feelings are valid.
Is It Any Good?
This holiday special well paced, full of cutesy original holiday songs and quippy pop culture jokes, and it has plenty of appeal for kids and caregivers. Everything about Beebo is adorable in Beebo Saves Christmas. He is brimming with positivity, loves everything about the holidays, and isn't deterred by anything in his quest to bring joy to all. It's a relatively short, really fun watch that's definitely worth your time. The whole family might la-la-la-love it.
