This fun, colorful, and educational series presents information about a wide array of sports and athletic activities in a fast-paced but still easy to understand way. Viewers are introduced to a variety of competitive individual, team, and freestyle sports, as well as non-competitive sporting activities, like rock wall climbing, trapeze, and even breakdancing and marbles. More regional or lesser-known sports like jorkeyball (an indoor version of soccer) and wheelchair basketball are also included in the mix. The athletes, who come from all walks of life, reject gender stereotypes and help clear up misunderstandings about who is able to participate in sports. Ultimately, Best Sports Ever! offers kids a chance to learn about sports, but in a way that underscores what it really means to be an athlete, and who athletes really are.
