Set in the gorgeous, seedy port town of Marseilles, France, this crime drama brings cruel drug kingpins into confrontation with brooding, determined cops. Blood Coast doesn't skimp on graphic violence, but there's an elegance to the pacing that casts a ferocious realism over this beautifully produced show.

Veteran director Olivier Marchal, who was once a police officer himself, knows how to tickle the soft underbelly of crime rings. Highly entertaining, this well-dubbed French show isn't for kids, but it's a decent pick for adults and older teens who enjoy crime dramas with soul.
