What's the Story?

BLUEY MINISODES is a collection of brief glimpses into the lives of the Heeler family lasting only one to two minutes each. Unlike the full-length episodes, these shorts focus on quick comedic beats and relatable family interactions between Bluey, Bingo, Bandit, and Chilli.

Is It Any Good?

While these shorts successfully retain Bluey's signature Dad humor, beloved by kids and adults alike, fans may find them slightly hollow compared to the full-length series. Bluey Minisodes deliver plenty of playful laughs but often lack the tender, emotional core that gives the franchise its characteristic heart. Additionally, as with any short-form content, parents may want to consider the potential for digital fatigue or reduced attention spans that can follow the rapid-fire consumption of bite-sized media.

Talk to Your Kids About ...

  • Families watching Bluey Minisodes together can talk about how these stories are very short and usually just end with a joke. How is watching a "minisode" different from a regular show that has a beginning, middle, and end?

  • The Heeler parents show a lot of affection by snuggling and being kind to each other. Why is it important to see parents being friends as well as being leaders of the family? Talk about how seeing love and kindness modeled at home makes everyone feel safer.

  • In one short, Muffin does a toy unboxing video. Why do you think companies send toys to people for free to review, and does that change how we think about the toy? This is a great way to introduce early media savvy concepts by talking about advertising and "influencer" culture.
