What's the Story?

CAPTAIN LASERHAWK: A BLOOD DRAGON REMIX follows the story of Dolph Laserhawk (voiced by Nathaniel Curtis) a cybernetically enhanced supersoldier who wishes to escape the dystopian government known as "Eden" along with his boyfriend Alex Taylor (Boris Hiestand) so they can start a new life. While on a mission to get a codec that can generate an unlimited amount of money, Laserhawk is betrayed by Taylor. He wants to use the codec for himself to start a revolution against Eden. Laserhawk is put into a Supermaxx prison and has an explosive device implanted into his head. Along with a group of other rebels, Laserhawk joins a team called the Ghosts; they're forced to perform covert missions under threat of death.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:
Parents say ( 1 ):
Kids say ( 5 ):

This bizarre, erratic series offers a lively experience with some interesting stylistic choices, but it too often gets lost in its wild story. Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix is an odd show. Featuring a multiverse of Ubisoft characters and properties, the series revels in its own nostalgic history and gaming culture. Its best aspects are its unique transitions in art styles that reference retro gaming and 90s culture. The story, however, is all over the place and hard to follow. It feels like Laserhawk tries to make up for this with excessive amounts of action, violence, and sexual content -- it doesn't work.
