What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Cat People is a docuseries that features people whose lives revolve around their love for cats. Their life stories sometimes refer to violent events, illness, suicide, and other difficult topics, but are offered within the context of how cats and cat-related work helped them through these times. There's some strong language and occasional cursing ("s--t") and Apple products are visible. Scenes from TikTok videos and images of comments on a range of social media platforms are frequent.

What's the Story?
From the creator of Dogs comes CAT PEOPLE, a six-part docuseries about people whose personal and professional lives revolve around their cats. It features cat lovers from different walks of life who have developed deep bonds with their kitties. In addition to taking care of them, spending time with them, and catering to their whims, these folks are also making a living in ways that include their feline families. From a Portland "cat rap" artist whose online videos have made him an Internet sensation, to a woman in Georgia who trains and performs with her fur babies in a circus, it showcases the important and transformational presence these animals have in their lives.
Is It Any Good?
The sweet, non-judgmental series features individuals who enjoy the love, fulfillment, solace, and in some cases, profit, their beloved cats bring to their human lives. As they showcase their kitties and reveal the ways their everyday lives revolve around them, they also share stories about when they became cat lovers, and how their lives changed. The ways their love for the animals inspired them to develop creative, unique, feline-inclusive career paths is also fascinating. Cat People will no doubt resonate with cat lovers in ways that dog lovers may never understand.
