Celebrity Prank Wars
Parent and Kid Reviews
What's the Story?
In CELEBRITY PRANK WARS, real-life best friends Kevin Hart and Nick Cannon take their personal history of pranking each other to the small screen, giving their famous friends an opportunity to get in on the fun. In each episode, two celebrities go head-to-head, competing to out-prank each other.
Is It Any Good?
Despite the star power of the hosts, this is a hit-or-miss show best suited for devoted fans of practical joke-based TV. Celebrity Prank Wars is a modern take on Punk'd, with the twist of allowing prank victims to retaliate. The show's authenticity is questionable, and the premise that the original prankster is unaware of their impending prank is hard to believe. At times the series also suffers from slow pacing, mean-spirited commentary, questionable content, and set-ups that just aren't very clever. A-list celebrities do make appearances and the production value of the stunts is very high, but overall Celebrity Prank Wars is a mixed bag that won't appeal to many.
