What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Cesar Millan: Better Human, Better Dog is a reality show that looks into the relationship between dog owner and pet. Some dogs show aggressive behavior like biting, jumping, growling, pulling, and obsession. Pet owners are often at the end of their ropes, afraid of their dogs, or at a point where they have limited their lives because of their dogs' behaviors. Some participants have health issues that affect their ability to manage their dogs, while others are afraid of their dogs' unpredictable behavior. Millan patiently, confidently shows humans how their behavior is affecting their dogs' behavior, and gently trains the humans how to be better pack leaders.

What's the Story?
In CESAR MILLAN: BETTER HUMAN, BETTER DOG, dog trainer Cesar Millan, delves even deeper into the root of canine behavior. In this show, he's examining the emotional component of the owners behind the dogs. Dog owners who are having issues with their dogs, like aggression, fixated behavior, excessive barking, or dangerous body language, bring their dogs to Cesar Millan's Dog Psychology Center, a ranch near Los Angeles. There, Cesar uses his skills and his team's expertise to help assess what's going on behind the dogs' shenanigans. His ranch boasts a pack of dogs, plus other barnyard animals who help mediate between the human world and the canine world. Not all dogs are going to get it right away, however, and Cesar and his team have to work hard to get to the root of the issues. But can The Dog Whisperer and his crew help everyone?
Is It Any Good?
Yes, he's a walking brand, and no, his techniques don't inspire everyone, but this series strives to create a more peaceful "pack," which means that the humans are getting the Dog Whisperer treatment too. In Cesar Millan: Better Human, Better Dog, participants are brought to the "Dog Psychology Center," in the hills above Los Angeles to access the resources Cesar Millan has rounded up. This includes training with other breeds of animals like sheep, llamas, and ponies, or to get help from expert service-dog trainers. Cesar gets people on the proverbial therapist's couch too, talking with them about their feelings, their relationship challenges, even their health history.
It's refreshing to see the man behind the myth be challenged by very difficult situations, like dogs who have totally forgotten their doggy instincts, or a participant who has a brain tumor and needs his dog to be trained as a service dog to help him if he has a seizure. This show boasts a variety of stories and circumstances, dramatic family situations, and both human and canine successes, which kids and adults can enjoy together.
