What's the Story?

After losing his wife, Juan doesn't have enough money to keep his family's home despite working three jobs. His only option is to accept his in-laws' offer to take his boys and fire their maid until an offer he can't refuse appears on his doorstep. Soon the family find themselves the beneficiaries of an inheritance windfall, but also with a new member of the family, a talking monkey named C.H.E.U.C.O.

Is It Any Good?

A silly premise that unfortunately fails to deliver on its potential for humor. Reminiscent of the beloved 1980s sitcom, Alf, C.H.U.E.C.O. lacks the comedic charm that made Alf endearing. The animated ape's appearance is far from lifelike and a little unsettling. While the storyline about a hardworking father striving to provide for his children is commendable, the show's inconsistent choices, such as having the chimp drink whiskey for comedic effect, undermine the coherence of its message. Overall, C.H.E.U.C.O. struggles to find its comedic footing, leaving viewers with an uneven, and ultimately unsatisfying, experience.
